Georgia is region were landslides and hazard situations often threatens municipal roads and unfortunately human lives as well. In 2021 beginning of May massive landslide near lisi lake at Machavariani road (near Vashlijvari) moved and create a danger for central road, primery water supply pipelines for half of Tbilisi and civilians who lived nearby. Landslide became huge spotlight, all news agencies wrote about it. Landslide movement everyday was 3-4 cm toward to city supplier pipeline, situation needed urgent intervention this is why soon after city hall of Tbilisi invited CSE team to deal with this massive landslide. According to our design for mitigation and stabilization were used two rows of dywidag strand acnhors (totally 380 anchors) Today landslide area is stabilized and according to CSE monitoring concept our Georgian partner Caucasus Road Project will continue monitoring of this area.
